I want to let a domain expire.

If you decide that you don't want or need a domain any more then you can set it to expire. You can only do this when the domain is due for renewal and if you miss that date then you will have to pay for it for another year.

We set the auto-renew option to ON whenever we register a domain so that you don't accidentally let it expire; so to let it go you need to turn this off before the renewal date.

To do this, log into your customer account, select the domains tab, choose the domain you wish to let expire and turn the auto-renew off.

You will receive a series of emails as the renewal date approaches and then passes to make sure that you're really sure, then the domain will expire.

If you want to change your mind, there is  a small chance that someone else might register that domain, so do be careful.
